Recommendation:
That the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby approves Report Number
DRAIN2018-11-8 prepared by Grant Collins, Drainage Superintendent and in so doing accepts the Petition for Drainage Works for the Bruce Beach Drain from Public Works Director John Yungblut AND Further appoints Dietrich Engineering Limited of Kitchener, Ontario to undertake the project and provide a resolution.
Background:
At the November 5, 2018 Committee of the Whole meeting, the Committee directed the Public Works Director to sign the petition for Drainage Works for the areas of approximately Lake Range Drive between Lots 40 and 49 and Bruce Bach Road from Concession 8 to Highland Drive.
Comments:
Dietrich Engineering has been reviewing the past proposal for the Bruce Beach Drain that was stopped on February 12, 2010. Dietrich will be bringing forward options to manage the drainage and surface water for the Bruce Beach Area. The information will be provided to Council and on the 'Have your Say HK" to obtain resident input.
As a result, staff recommends acceptance of the Petition for Drainage Works for the Bruce Beach Drain from Public Works Director John Yungblut AND Further recommend Dietrich Engineering Limited of Kitchener, Ontario be appointed as the Engineer to undertake the project and provide a resolution.

Financial impacts will be provided in the Engineer’s report.
