Recommendation:

That the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby approves Report Number
DRAIN2019-04-8 prepared by Emily Dance, Clerk AND authorizes a Public Open House for the Bruce Beach Drain for May 25, 2019 at the Point Clark Community Centre.

Background:

At the February 11, 2019 meeting Council directed staff to post the recommended concepts for the Bruce Beach Drain project on the “Have your Say HK” website for community input. Included on the site is a short video with the options and an area to post comments and ask questions.

The site was launched on April 4, 2019 with all property owners in the watershed being mailed an information sheet on accessing the site. We have received a few questions and expect the site to gain more traffic in the upcoming weeks.
